Benny Collins is half Vampire and half human, a dhampire in his clan. He tries not to let that define him and lives like a normal human by going to high school and doing normal teenager things. With his father cold to him due to his birth killing his mother, he has fallen into treating his uncle as his father.

When he comes back to school after missing two days, he finds that his friends have adopted the new student, Dakota "Kota" Quinn. Kota immediately finds ways to get under Benny's skin and he takes a quick dislike to the newbie.

Dakota Quinn is a werewolf stuck in a very strict pack. He has had bad experiences with Vampires and doesn't like them. After his older brother was declined from the pack and his older sister left at 16, he was left alone with his toxic parents. All he wants is to break the traditional roles that his pack enforces.

So when they get drunk at a party and Benny finds Kota's blood irresistible, they find out what each other is. They were supposed to be enemies, so why does he like the way Benny feeds on him? What do they mean by soulmates? To him?

How will this unconventional and messy story unravel when they are supposed to keep their secrets from their family? What is the truth behind Benny's real origins? Is he really even human? With challenges that make it harder, they find themselves stuck in an impossible situation.
