Selen couldn't sleep.

Ishara couldn't breathe.

And somewhere in the same city that was rich with noise and neon and strangers passing each other without looking, the two of them were heading for a collision.

Not fate. Not destiny.

Just one woman who needed to prove she could build a family... And another who needed to survive.

And marriage, though absurd, unwanted and terrifying, was about to become their way out.

Now that Selen's grandfather has paid a visit... and called her 'his granddaughter-in-law'... Ishara has no idea where the act ends-or if she even wants it to.

This story is fiction. The names of countries are fake and majority of the city names. I'm a Guyanese and I'd like to incorporate some of that into the story so I've named some of the places after those in my country. All dollars will be GYD so don't be shocked by the amount. It is far too normalised to use American everything in stories. I'd like to see other cultures and norms in the mix. And just like I researched the things I didn't know when it came to those stories, the same could be done with mine. I may add comments for clarity at some parts.
