The Girl, My Love, My Enemy

The girl wailed as she staggered forward, mind reeling with the horrors she had witnessed. In front of her lay the bleeding, broken body of her best friend. Her lover. Her only enemy. Multicolored eyes stared unseeingly at the sky. The living girl's screams echoed endlessly up through the clouds and air, as though tempting the earth to swallow her up in an inky black void.
