An angst filled BL love story by Reilie Mae. A story I've been setting up and working on for several years. Benny misses his best friend. There's been so much going on since the loss that he's never able to grief. He, like many others, hardly knows the definition or the first steps to figure out how to get their lives back on track. The more he tries, the less appealing life looks. "Facing the house of my dead friend, the one I miss, the one I need, and the one I find myself longing for despite how much I hide it, I take a step. Followed by another, and another and another. My fourth step leads me off the path, shoes hitting dry grass and dirt." This story is fully handwritten, no AI used to write, no AI used to come up with idea. No AI.

Where The Light Doesn't Reach is a raw and unflinching young adult contemporary novel that explores the lingering effects of trauma, mental illness, and the desperate search for connection. Carter has spent years perfecting the art of disappearing-hiding behind oversized hoodies, avoiding touch, and keeping people at arm's length. But when Gray, a persistent and enigmatic classmate, forces his way into Carter's life, the walls Carter has spent years building begin to crack. As the two navigate an unexpected friendship, Carter is confronted with the past he's tried so hard to bury. But survival comes at a cost, and facing the darkness means risking everything. Told in a gripping first-person narrative, Where The Light Doesn't Reach is about resilience, found family, and the struggle to believe in a future when the past won't let go.
