Hallie Jackson is a Sophomore at West Nelson High School. Everything has always been pretty normal to her, even given the fact that her best friend is troubled and should really be in prison, her dad is a fire fighter and risks his life everyday, and well, she's incredibly short and just wants to grow a little.
Then a boy shows up. He seems like your everyday "swag fag," and Hallie's only goal is to avoid him sense boys like that have caused trouble before.
But one accident leads to her having second thoughts. As her and this new boy Blaze grow closer, they learn a lot about each other.
Hallie learns more than she maybe should've.
