In Japan, Senshado is a graceful art practiced by young women. But in Europe, the sport has evolved into something else-gritty, brutal, and male-dominated. Otto Adler, a skilled German-Polish tank commander from the newly formed Ironclad Union Academy, arrives in Japan as part of a foreign exchange demonstration team.

Assam, with her refined manners, sharp instincts, and unparalleled elegance, finds Otto's crude but passionate take on Senshado both offensive-and oddly intriguing. Sparks fly when the two clash in a friendly match, and soon, Assam finds herself drawn to the boy who treats tank combat not as an art, but as war.
