What If... the origin became its own character?
When an unidentified Weaver appeared in the middle of Hallownest without warning, Hornet could not have predicted the headaches he would cause. But between the constant insistence on meddling with others' affairs and the never-ending ramblings of places and concepts only a bug high off the Fungal Wastes' speciality could come up with, Hornet would rather devote herself to the bureaucracy of the White Palace than to have anything to do with this bug.
But as more of what she cared for seemed to be ripped out of her grasp, this peculiar spider would grow to become Hornet's only constant.

In this AU Subaru and Emilia essentially swap roles in the camp and swap genders. Subaru is female. Emilia and Rem are male. Emilia is a Knight in this AU. Other gender ends will occur as required such as Satella, Betelgeuse and Sirius so the story works properly. I made the Subaru as a Royal Candidate because I didn't want to rehash the Mimihigau If.
