"Juliet..." Morgan mumbled, his voice soft and possibly even full of hurt. "Listen... I figured tomorrow is... It's Saturday. And I'm back in town later tonight. I was thinking we could maybe head out to Clarky's for a couple and then head back to mine for dinner. Celebrate one year of friendship."
"Morgan," I began, my voice soft. "I'm sorry, but I can't. I'm planning on laying low tomorrow and actually all weekend. I'm drained from work."
"Okay," he said, almost too quickly, "then how about you just come over and we can relax. I can make us dinner and we watch a movie and have some popcorn. You deserve to have someone take care of you."
