Each has to take part in these struggles and each has struggles of their own. Vann Vernard has suffered from the loss of his entire family for years, Nyro Slevon has suffered humiliation beyond repair, Tierra Devi lost her title of undefeated, Nico Amano and Carmen Princeton's friendship is threatened by lies and secrets and Stephanie Bryon has to suffer the unfairness that comes with her gift.
