"We're just best friends." That's what Aarav told himself. That's what Avni whispered on a call one night. But maybe... it was never just that. Aarav never planned to get close to anyone again. After falling out with his ex-best friend, being haunted by his past trauma, and battling anxiety daily, he had quietly accepted that no one would ever really understand him. Until her. Avni-the school's golden girl. The one everyone loved. The one he feared talking to. But when a simple class note turned into late-night stories, and when planning to cut off her toxic ex Prithvi turned into laughter and healing, something changed. Slowly. Quietly. Unknowingly. She saw the version of him no one else could. He comforted the version of her no one else knew. And in the middle of chaos, heartbreak, and whispered "ILY"s that didn't sound like just friendship... they found home in each other. He became her peace. She became his person. Until the day Aarav's father made one last call-a call only to her. > "He's your responsibility now. Keep him on the right track." They're best friends. Or at least, that's what they keep telling everyone. But behind every "just checking on you," every "goodnight," every "you're all I have"... is a love that's waiting to be said. A story of healing, friendship, grief, and a bond that even time can't define.
