WIP: A Palia Story - Reth x Player Character

Ancient magic has awoken within Palia alongside the re-emergence of a previously foregone species, Humans - and it seems like the cycle of flow has begun to brew a storm unlike anything the living world has seen.

Protectors of the Republic, who call themselves The Order, have detected an anomalous spike in magic originating from a faraway region called Kilima.

A newly materialized human, Sylvia Blue, coincidentally begins her journey, and her new life, from a rural village in the valley.

Although she's taken root in her new community, the ruins of what has or had been, linger in the air like haunting memories. Why were their kind brought back? Why is she the only one capable of reading ancient human? And why does the flow communicate with her?

But - even when the Earth itself is showing symptoms of a much darker corruption - her hands are tied by foreign laws and the culture of the Majiri. The expectations are tearing her apart. To fit in, she has to settle down. Choose a path to never stray from. Live quietly without questions.

Yet something doesn't sit right with her - nor anyone else. Many of the villagers, many of her friends and... dangerous acquaintances, lead a double-life behind the public eye. The system is regulating its people - censoring and withholding information. Serious threats, and unlikely allies, seem to be but a reach away.

Will Sylvia be able to resist her human nature? Will she adapt and become part of the traditional Majiri? Or will she find her own purpose and ride the storm with the misfits?
