“I was sprawled out in my usual position on the couch, half asleep but entirely drunk, torturing myself by tearing memories out of my mind at random like matches from a book, striking them one at a time and drowsily setting myself on fire.”

After Blaze leaves the weight of Chris and her's newborn girl onto his shoulders, he breaks. He's barely has time to react let alone look after a newborn. So he leaves, for long enough to get his head in the right place. The memories and feelings float in his head, but slowly new-found friends, Electra and Anne, help Chris find his way back. The right way back.

Growing up, Corianne Stanley knew Christopher Cerulli as her next door neighboor and the older brother of the girl that baby sat her. She and Chris knew OF each other, but they didn't REALLY know each other because of the fact that Chris was so much older than her. However, when Cory's parents decide to have another child, the family had to move away. Years later, Cory is eighteen years old and is on her own with her little brother, Cole. Her parents unfortunately were killed in a horrible car accident two years prior, and Cory has been on her own ever since. What happens when she runs into a familiar face at a Starbucks in town and he can't help but notice how attractive Cory has become? When tragedy strikes Cory, Chris is the first person at her side. Will Cory be able to overcome everything headed her way with Chris at her side? Or will the horrible tragedies and the discrimination she and Chris get for being together become too much?
