Haleia once loved the sky. Now she can't even look at it without trembling. When her pilot father disappears, her childhood joy of flying turns into a haunting silence.

But at Gate 17-the place she visits every Friday to remember-she meets a stranger. A boy who cries. A boy who writes something in a notebook.
