"Not everyone is born to be a hero..."
You have always been aware of this, and you had never really cared. You never wanted to be a hero after all, so why bother? You liked heroes and all, but you never wanted to get caught up in the drama. It seemed like such an effort for nothing in return but pride and a few extra bucks.
Then again, you always hated when people called you names. So when you first developed your quirk and your parents got vocal about how much of a villainous quirk you had, you most certainly wanted to prove them wrong. As long you had a quirk, they shouldn't be allowed to bring you down.
You had always been the type to hold a grudge.
