I never thought something like this would ever happen to me, because things like this only happened on TV, not in real life and especially not to me. Unfortunately I was wrong. Someone stole my identity. They took pictures from my Facebook account and created a fake online profile to catfish men and scam them out of a lot of money, and now I was being sued for $45,000. That's why I teamed up with Knox Hendrix, a ridiculously hot cyber detective who pledged to help me track down this catfish and put a stop to what she was doing. I tried to stay focused on the case, but the more time I spent with Knox the more complicated things became between us and our growing friendship, because I wanted more. Over time I found out that there was a lot more to Knox than I originally thought and he had a dark past and wounds that needed time to heal, but I knew I could help him with that if he would only stop trying to be the tough cop and open up and let someone in. I wanted to help him but I didn't know if I could ever be satisfied with just being his friend when I wanted so much more. I soon discovered that finding the catfish and solving the case would put my life and Knox's in danger and sometimes there are cases that are better left unsolved.
