deviltown is colder in the summertime, i'll lose
my mind at least another thousand times.

carson miller never had the chance to settle in a town before he had to pack away his life belongings into a cardboard box.

after his mom's latest husband was killed in a 'accidental' car crash; the backlash from in-laws had forced the millers out of the luxurious house they lived in, and out a couple towns over where georgia had settled on wells-bury.

at first, carson didn't bother to hang his posters up on the walls of his bedroom, or even unload half of the boxes that held his winter clothes. he knew they'd move soon enough.

but eventually, he realised that this was the longest they'd stayed in a single place in almost eight years. so, he forced himself to come to terms with the fact that maybe, for once, they were there to stay.
