scars under the stars

mila dreams and harry styles. the start of a journey of a year that she didn't think she was going to make it out of and quite frankly neither did he. the end of looking up to the stars full of scars and to new beginnings also memories.

"drinking takes years off peoples life you know"

i flinch nearly falling flat in the water beneath me. not removing my sight from down at my feet near the edge of the pond, i peer my head up slightly to see a tall man, arm covered in tattoos and for some stupid reason in my drunken state i respond.

"it'd be doing me a favour"

"is that so" he replies almost sounding curious

i say nothing.

"so what's a young, sweet innocent girl doing out here alone"

i chuckle, i didn't mean to because he's not wrong but am i really that out of place here ?

"what's funny about that love" he says while he starts to approach me and sits down next to me on the wooden piece of a pier looking thing.

"do you ever feel like your not real like your body's here but your minds in a whole other planet"

"okay darling i think you need some company. where's your friends at, surely you didn't come here alone"

as my head starts to spin i snap "don't call me that"
it goes silent.

"had to get away from that" i respond motioning my hands from the house party which we can still hear the atmosphere from here

before he had a chance to reply i speak "and how about" i hiccup "yourself"

"what's your name princess" he completely ignored my question

"do you know the last five minutes you've spoken to me yo-" i start to feel the urge to throw up "gave me three different nicknames"

he hums gently

"so what's your name mysterious man who loves nicknames"

"harry but people know me as styles"

i lift myself up and he touches my waist to help but i flinch.

"sorry, me tired"

"what's your name love"

i shrug, "have a good night styles"

"and to you that's harry"

i glance back quickly and that's it, me and my heavy shadow is gone.
