Abuja - the city of power and secrets.
Zayd Ibrahim Khalil leaned against the hood of his Mercedes, the engine still purring, though he wasn't going anywhere. He scrolled absently through his phone, notifications piling in from friends, half the girls in Abuja, and half-hearted invitations to exclusive parties. His thumb hovered, pausing at a recent blog post headline:
"If you like make your papa be minister, this babe no really send you!"
The picture beneath it showed him -face frowned, mid-rant and her, calm and unwavering, staring him down like he was nothing more than a storm she refused to be swept away by.
She wasn't like the others. She didn't care about who his father was, or how much his car cost, or that he'd graduated from one of the best tech universities in Dubai. She didn't want his attention and that only made him want hers even more.
Amina "Amal" Muhammad. Final year Petroleum Engineering student. Youngest of her circle. The one whose eyes didn't just look, they saw. The one whose veil wasn't just fabric, it was conviction.
He clenched his jaw.
"She thinks she's above it all," he muttered.
But beneath his arrogance, something twisted in his chest an ache he didn't want to name. It wasn't just rejection. It was something deeper. Something dangerous.
Somewhere across town, Amal sat with her journal open, the words flowing like prayers.
"He's everything I was taught to stay away from... but somehow, I keep seeing him everywhere I go."
Neither of them knew it yet, but this was no ordinary clash of personalities.
This was the beginning of a firestorm.
One fueled by pride and mystery, the other by power and faith.
This was the moment where love first struck... not gently, but like lightning.
Veiled behind it all secrets, ambition, pain, and the possibility of redemption.
And neither of them would come out untouched.

She cried out of pain but that only seemed to impress him. He smirked and said, "Mm, so fiesty?" He glared at her and pushed her against the wall. "You are evil Abdullah!" She almost shouted. Beads of sweat formed on her silk skin. Why was he making her life a living hell in her matrimonial home? She was supposed to live a happy life with her so-called husband, but instead, he is bullying her. "Just tell me, why?" She gazed at him confused wondering what he meant by that. "Why what?" She cried "Heh" he chuckled, "don't play dumb with me Kulthum. Just tell me why you chose him over me? What am I lacking? Huh? Tell me!" He shouted pushing her more against the wall. "Because you are evil! I never loved you in the first place, you are nothing worth loving" she spat as tears flowed down her beautiful face. As soon as he heard that, his face stoned up while his jaw clenched and his eyes became bloodshot. Such a sight she had never seen since she was married to him. "If I can hate you, why can't you, Abdullah?! I am so tired of this relationship, I can't do it anymore just let me go" With a dejected heart, he released her hand and whispered dangerously close to her ear, "If I can't have you, then no one will" He stumped off angrily while she slumped to the ground releasing a heavy sigh of defeat as tears rolled down her cheek. Since the day she got married to him, there had never been a day where she laughed for at least two minutes. All she knew at that very moment was that she was doomed! *completed but currently under editing*
DESTINED FOR THE CROWN. by Shatumwrites
47 parts Complete
In the grand Kano Emirate, Sultan Abdulrahman III ruled with wisdom, power, and an unshakable sense of justice. Yet beneath the glory of his reign brewed a storm within his own household. On the same fateful day, four princes were born to four different mothers-each one raised to believe the throne belonged to him alone. Prince Abdul Malik, the fiery eldest of Lady Muzaina, carried ambition like a sword. Prince Abdul Hameed, heir of Queen Ruhaima, was bred in pride and entitlement. Prince Abdulrazak, son of Lady Hafsah, mastered cunning and manipulation. And Prince Abdulsalaam, the youngest, born of Lady Maimoon, was unlike them all-an introverted yet peaceful soul, adored by the people and quietly cherished by the Sultan. Raised in the care of their formidable grandmother, Sultana A'isha, Abdulsalaam grew into a man who never fought for the crown, yet every word he spoke carried weight. His gentleness stood in stark contrast to his brothers' arrogance and cruelty, earning him both their hatred and the people's love. But the fragile balance of the royal household shattered when Sultana A'isha discovered an unconscious maiden, Arfah, during one of her evening strolls. Brought into the palace, Arfah's beauty and mystery captured the hearts of all four princes at once. Love became another battlefield, entwining itself with ambition, rivalry, and destiny. As secrets unravel and the struggle for power deepens, one question looms over the Kano Emirate: Will the throne be claimed by fire, pride, or peace? The Prince of Peace is a tale of power, betrayal, brotherhood, and the one prince whose silence may prove stronger than swords.
