Their marriage was arranged.
Their chemistry was undeniable.
Their breakup? Devastating.

Zara Hartley never expected to fall for Dylan Reid - the arrogant, devastatingly handsome CEO her parents forced her to marry. But beneath the power plays and passion, something real began to bloom: love.

Until one night...

"I was forced into this," he slurred, eyes glassy with whiskey.
"Your face alone, makes my heart ache in sorrow"

Those words? They scorched her soul.

So she walked away without looking back - and reinvented herself as the fierce, untouchable queen of a corporate empire.

Now, three years later...
Dylan walks into a boardroom and sees her again.
Only this time, she's the boss.

She's confident. Sexy, Cold. Deliciously out of reach.
And Dylan? He wants her more than ever - not just in his bed, but in his life.

Too late.

Zara doesn't play nice anymore.
Not when his sexy, manipulative fiancΓ©e Celeste Roux is clawing her way into his arms... and into the headlines.

But the tension crackles.
The stolen looks. The heated standoffs. The temptation.

"You're still mine," he whispers against her skin one night.
"No," she smirks, lips brushing his ear. "I was never yours to begin with."

Love. Lust. Legacy.
And a war between two powerful women for one unforgettable man.

But Zara has one rule:

"I don't fight for men. I let them fight for me."

Let the games begin.

The Gifts of Mortality by eleanorkennedy14
20 parts Complete
The gods have no pity for humans and their impermanence. Why would they care for lives measured in years, when time marches into millennia for them? The immortals stay in their city. The humans remain in their parts of the world. That is until a human terrorist group gains control over the Goddess of Death, forcing her to kill their enemies and increase their power. All immortals keep their backs turned on humanity. Except Samil, the God of Festivals and the Arts. Samil knows he isn't very powerful among his kind. Or important. Or confident. Yet, when he learns that the humans are desperate, he chooses to do a deceptively simple thing: Help them. ___________________________________ @Voyageavecmoi was kind enough to write this review of my book and she described it 100x better than I ever could lol. With her permission, I'm posting it below. Also, check out her book "Flight Risk." It's a sweet and deep romance about two characters negotiating their feelings for each other while life is doing everything to tear them apart. The characters have such mature conversations and, there's no reliance on the miscommunication trope at all. I'm *obsessed.* If you enjoy intriguing fantasy novels with deep and thoughtful themes, check out 'The Gifts of Mortality' by @eleanorkennedy14 . It explores the concept of mortality and how it gives life meaning through the eyes of both gods and humans. The story follows Samil, the god of the Festivals and the Arts, who is shocked by the apathy of his fellow gods when a human terrorist group gains control over the Goddess of Death. Despite finding no support among his kind, he's determined to help the humans, which sets him down an interesting course. There are lots of great twists in this novel, and I also loved seeing how queerness was worked in throughout both the immortal and mortal realms. Samil is a sweet and refreshing character to root for who is determined to see the good in the world.
The Way You See Me by StayCloudy_

Some stories don't start with sparks. They begin in silence. In the neon-colored chaos of high school, where social hierarchies rule and reputation is everything, one girl watches from the sidelines-unnoticed, unremarkable, and quietly unraveling under the weight of expectations. It's senior year, the supposed climax of teenage life, but for her, it feels more like a final test of identity. Willow keeps her head down. She notices everything but says little, slipping between the noise of high school with a quiet grace no one seems to catch. Except Dakota. He's the school's star lacrosse player-confident on the field, people know his name, but not the boy behind the number. Watching Dakota Alexander St. James-her brother's best friend and the golden boy of their school-score the winning goal, something shifts. A look. A pause. She's struck not by romance, but by something deeper: envy, admiration, and the realization that she's been playing a role in everyone else's story but her own. As the story unfolds, their friendship grows tentative at first, built not on dramatic moments but on shared silences, thoughtful glances, and the quiet understanding that they see each other in a way no one else does. Through late-night games, carnival lights, and beach bonfires, both Willow and Dakota begin to open up. In a world full of noise, this is the story of two people learning how to be seen. How to trust what's unspoken. And how sometimes, the strongest kind of love is the kind that takes its time. At its heart, this is a story about being known. About how connection doesn't have to be loud to be real. And how sometimes, love begins not with fireworks, but with the soft, steady flicker of a flame.
