The year is 0007. A company known as the Shinra Electric Power Company, (SEC) runs the entire planet using an energy source known as "mako" which is the lifeblood of the Planet. An eco-terrorist group known as AVALANCHE, (or Avalanche,) stationed in a city called "Midgar" believe that Shinra is killing off the Planet with their reactors that harvest said "mako." The leader of this eco-terrorist group is named "Barret" and has decided that the only way to stop Shinra is through force. Their target? Reactor No.1 stationed in Sector 8 of Midgar. Their mission? To blow up Reactor No.1 and show the Planet that AVALANCHE means business. They won't fail. "How?" you make ask. One word: SOLDIER. This time, AVALANCHE is packing the heat with a mercenary named Cloud Strife. Who is this mysterious merc? The ultimate badass. He's not a SOLDIER anymore; he's now an Ex-SOLDIER. Not much is known about him other than he's as quiet as he is strong. With the power of mako running through his veins, nothing can stand in Cloud's way and with his trusty buster sword he keeps with him at all times, he's always sure to win a fight, no matter how challenging it may be. With Cloud at AVALANCHE's side, they're ready to make their stand in front of Shinra. Except...something is off. Something is wrong. There's a certain disturbance in the air.
