Osamu Dazai transfers schools. He is quiet, addicted to his iPad, and always seems absent... yet he becomes popular. Chuuya Nakahara, intrigued, approaches him, and little by little, through laughs and messages, they become inseparable.

In eighth grade, Dazai sends him a message: "Shall we kiss in the bathroom?" That kiss changes everything.

Chuuya's mother discovers them. He comes out as gay. They call Chuuya's father and Dazai's mother, who is still weak. Out of fear, Dazai hides the truth and blames Akutagawa. The punishment falls on him. And although Dazai feels guilty, he doesn't dare confess.

They get transferred to different schools. Chuuya is left behind - more closed off, colder, only close to Koyou. Dazai looks for him on TikTok. He writes to him. He wishes him happy birthday. Chuuya replies, but they are no longer what they once were. Now they're just "friends."

Until one day, in a mall, Dazai accidentally walks into Chuuya and his mother. He doesn't notice them... but they notice him. Their parents tell him: "They haven't changed physically... but their eyes no longer look at you with love. Only with resentment."

And then he understands. There are mistakes that hurt, mistakes that wound...

All this while trying to deal with 7 missing people and 6 missing families is a lot to juggle.
