"The circus lion follows its ringmaster, not because it's afraid of him, but because it trusts him. Sometimes, trust is the real cage."
The Kyler family used to have it all-fame, fortune, and Isabelle Kyler, the popstar everyone adored. But when Isabelle dies in a tragic accident, everything falls apart. Her twin brother Josiah is left behind, grieving... and searching for answers.
Instead of closure, Josiah is accused of her murder and locked away in a twisted asylum, betrayed by the people who were supposed to love him most.
Three years later, Josiah escapes. With nothing but a list of secrets and a thirst for justice, he disappears, only to reemerge as the mysterious ringmaster of a circus. But this isn't just about putting on a show. The circus is a cover. Each performer is an outsider with a story, and together they form a chosen family. Hidden beneath the lights and costumes, Josiah is searching for the truth... and planning revenge.
What he doesn't expect is her, a girl who sees past his walls and makes him feel something real for the first time in years. But falling for someone while chasing the past is dangerous. Love makes him vulnerable. And in this world, trust is a weapon.
As secrets unravel and old ghosts return, Josiah must decide if love can save him... or if revenge will destroy everything, including the one person who could bring him back to life

Lying to avoid explaining the millions of conflicting emotions that dance inside, set aflame. Ringmaster is always unbalanced-not sure how to feel and heal. He never learned how to process despair, too busy to sit with the emotions, care for them, validate them. He pretends to be strong, pushes through the day because no one cares as much as he does. Now you can find out what it is like to survive yourself.
In the mental breakdown state of her mind, the emotionally broken girl copes with life's hardships in a cognitive capacity of a modern non-traditional circus. Based on true-life events, my 73,459-word fiction novel is based on real experiences living with borderline personality disorder.
A Journey Back to Me: Learning to live with Borderline Personality Disorder is where Ringmaster and the circus performers take the audience on an adventure through mental illness. My book takes place at Planet Janet, a fantasy circus in which the Ringmaster interacts with each performance while interweaving my personal experiences of coping and living with the daily struggles of depression, rage, anxiety, panic attacks, and relationships. Each performer at the circus has a specific act that correlates with how I dealt with each situation.
