Sometimes when you can't find the fanfic you have to write it yourself. How disappointing.
Marion Vickers, a 26 year old NPS Ranger and Climate Scientist faces her own demons when her best friend goes missing from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Kyle Turner, an ISB agent is called to take a case that is proving to be more than he bargained for.
Kyle Turner x OFC
But also, idk what this is going to turn into so beware. However, I do know that a couple "babygirl"s will probably be dropped. So, if that sounds like your vibe, enjoy. Or maybe not. Who knows???
Also, I'm including themes of climate change so if you don't like that don't read.
Also, main characters are LGBTQ so if you don't like that don't read.

The Imposter
Would you doubt your own sanity if you were suddenly blamed for certain events that you had no idea were happening? At first, Dayna thinks everyone is playing a horrible joke on her -- blaming her for doing things she wouldn't normally even think of doing. To add onto that, the new guy at school hates her guts for reasons she doesn't understand. But then, she realizes something just isn't adding up. She's blamed for things she's quite sure she didn't do and between taking detentions, to making out with other girls’ boyfriends and getting arrested, Dayna has had enough. She wants to know who is impersonating her and why. Fed up with the situation, she confides in her robotic scientist parents who shamefully admit that they had created a perfect clone of her…that somehow managed to escape. Amid the huge mess her life has become, she meets Kyle, who is an agent assigned to her to keep her safe from her so-called clone. He is also the new boy at school that has an unadulterated hatred for her. Kyle is more man than boy, who has a cynical outlook at life, and a very black and white way of looking at things. As the school term ends and she graduates, Dayna finds herself having a very interesting summer filled with planning, strategizing, and an unknown attraction towards Kyle. In the end hard decisions will have to be made. But who will win? Dayna or Dayna?Complete

River Teeth
On the edge of graduating from high school, Stan proposes to Kyle in the hopes they can run away together; finally getting out that little mountain town. However, Kyle isn't sure if it's the right thing to do and turns him down. The next day, Stan goes missing. Pure hell ensues. A couple of things you should know about this fic: 1. There will be triggering plot points. If you're sensitive to things like suicide or domestic abuse, then please don't read. I've done my absolute best to write gracefully about these things, but your mental health is more important. 2. There are "Fractured But Whole" AU elements in this story, as are supernatural influences.Complete
JJ Maybank Endgame - He Fell First, She Fell Harder
Y/N Routledge. Sixteen. John B's little sister. He's been the overprotective type ever since your dad disappeared months ago-setting rules you never agreed to, and watching your every move like you'd vanish too. It's been just the two of you for a while now... well, and JJ Maybank. Seventeen, reckless, full of trouble and charm. He's always around-more than you'd like to admit. And sure, you both get along, but it's always been just friendship. Mostly. Probably. You're a Pogue through and through. Scraped knuckles, stolen boats, and not following the rules is your normal. Sarah Cameron is tolerable now that she's dating your brother, and surprisingly, she's proven herself more than once. But Kooks like Rafe and Topper? Let's just say if looks could kill, they'd be buried six feet under the Chateau. This summer feels... different. Maybe it's the pressure. Maybe it's the secrets. Or maybe it's the fake relationship you never expected to agree to. Rules were made. Lines were drawn. He's not supposed to fall. You swore you wouldn't either. But sometimes hearts don't follow rules-especially in the Outer Banks. **This story can also be found on my TikTok account as well with many others!!** TikTok: @obxstoriess_p4lComplete
