Dust and Echos

The government has covered up much of what happened in Mission City. Skylar works at a dusty, off-the-grid junkyard auto body shop in the California desert, owned by Mikaela Banes, who now runs her own business, fixing and flipping old cars, far away from the chaos Sam's gotten pulled into again.
Skylar Owens, mid-20s, ex-military mechanic with a haunted past, tries to keep her head down after being discharged under suspicious circumstances. She's good with machines, especially broken ones, and spends her days repairing wrecks, sandblasting rust, and avoiding questions.
