It Had To Be You

Olivia Sokolina swears that she doesn't have avoidance issues. The guys in her life have just been... lackluster so far, to say the least. A senior in high school, she has had her fair share of encounters and almost romances and situationships. The effort they take, though, isn't worth sacrificing the friendships she has worked painstakingly to build in her new school and the grades she is trying to keep up.

Her best friend Connor Nikolic doesn't seem to believe her. Friend? First crush? Failed talking stage? No matter, because he doesn't believe her claims that she wants to focus on upcoming university applications and the parties she has finally started getting invited to. His taunts that she can't keep a relationship follow her in the school hallways, haunt her dreams, and paint a bleak picture of a future devoid of love.

When their final high school dance is announced, Connor's taunts get to her. Olivia knows she could find a date if she wanted. Right? A date she actually wanted to go with, at least. She could build a relationship, definitely.

So begins their last grand plan for high school: find Olivia a boyfriend. As Connor and Olivia plan chance encounters with the targets of her plan and try to balance her date planning with their finals study, Olivia starts to remember exactly why Connor was her first crush, why he is now her best friend because she couldn't quite let him go. Will she hold out and let their plans find her a future, find love, with someone else? Or will she fall along the way for the guy she could never forget?
