"Echo of What Was" speaks to the lingering echo of the past that haunt my present. Echoes are leftovers of something that once was - they're not the original sound, but they carry its shape and emotion. Similarly, his past (and his unresolved feelings) aren't fully gone; they linger in his present actions. Just as echoes bounce back, he repeats patterns as if driven by unresolved history. I am forced to relive the pain, mirroring how echoes replay a moment long after it's passed. TagLish Donnovan Series #1

Every action leaves a mark. Every word, every silence, every choice, each one lingers, shaping the present and haunting the future. In a world where relationships are fragile and time moves relentlessly forward, the past never truly fades. It lingers in the spaces between people, in the regrets unspoken, in the memories that refuse to disappear. As bonds are tested and emotions unravel, the weight of past decisions begins to resonate through friendships, love, and loss. What happens when the past refuses to stay buried? When the echoes grow louder, drowning out the present? And when everything finally begins to fade, will the connections that once mattered still remain? A story of lingering memories, the fragile nature of human connection, and the way actions ripple through time, the echoes of the past is a poignant exploration of the ties that bind us, even as everything slowly fades away.
