In reality, it's an institution built to cultivate teenagers with supernatural abilities; the Ascendants. Six metaphysical powers governed by the Thrones ruled the hidden order of the world, and ANHS trains its students to master these powers and ascend to the top among the world's elite. Each student is forced to fight, to climb, to survive-all for a single goal: to reach the summit by graduation.

Kiyotaka Ayanokouji is placed in Class D, the lowest of the low. At this school where rank means everything, those who fail to rise to Class A before graduation will be "eliminated."

If you've read Shadow Slave, you'll probably notice that the power system here feels familiar---maybe even identical. And it's not just that; several of the core concepts in this story draw clear inspiration from it.

Originally, I had planned to write a full-on Shadow Slave crossover. But due to a number of important constraints I couldn't work around, I decided instead to write this 'original story.'All Rights Reserved
