This is the entry I recently made for a writing competition and as such I felt it was right to upload the original. I hope you all enjoy. I will work on it eventually to expand into a novella, depending on how my other project goes.
An immortal kelpie, forever bound to his pond, mourns his mortal wife by revisiting her grave and reading her heartfelt letters. However, a chance encounter, culminating in the return of a precious locket, finally hints at a profound, long-awaited understanding.

The Kelpie's Curse (book #1 in the Kelpie's Entrapment trilogy)
Now available on Kindle and paperback. When Renestrae Frank, a young woman from small town, USA, won a trip to Scotland for herself and her two best friends she thought her luck was finally changing. The landscape was beautiful, Kaloria swooned over the accents and Renestrae just knew that with enough prodding even Evelyn would put her modern sensibilities aside for the myth and folklore of the country. Unfortunately appearance can be deceiving and it isn't long before their peaceful vacation turns into a nightmare. Unable to leave until the end of the month and with her curiosity and determination running high Renestrae makes a discovery that no one in their right mind would believe. It's no simple serial killer that's hunting the villagers but a Kelpie, a water horse with a taste for human flesh. As the villagers drop like flies and suspicions turn towards Renestrae herself not only do the girls run the risk of becoming the next victims in the town's curse but the killer might be closer than they think.Lengkap

Only the brave learns to test the waters amidst the labyrinth of its knotted mystery. PLEASE, NO PLAGIARISM. (~Created July 6, 2018:Finished August 5, 2018~) Being engrossed in studying his current case detained him from leaving at once until he forgot the time. He never mentioned to Hera that he's going home after two decades. Only his youngest child knows of his trip back home. Whether he believes in curse or not. It's his 45th birthday tomorrow and he must be home to keep his promise to his mother. His family had never forsaken him, he did. He'd been ignoring their summons since he turned his back from them. Perhaps it's time to grant their plea. He closes his office and walks to the elevator. "Good evening, Artemis." The man in a black jacket greets him. Artemis smiles at the stranger. "Do I know you?" The stranger puts his arm around the stunned lawyer. Behind the unknown man's dark glasses are bloodshot eyes ready to scare the wits out of his prey. "Your mother does. She's expecting me to greet you happy birthday." Removing his dark glasses, he stares at his victim to corrupt his eyes. Insurmountable fear assaults Artemis as excruciating pain drills on his eyeballs. A horrible scream slits through the silence of the night when the clock strikes twelve. As the elevator opens, the stranger loosens his grip and the victim falls on the floor. Covering his bleeding eyes, Artemis winces from severe pain. The man whistles away as he walks past the dead body of the security guard in the lobby to the snowy road outside the building. His victim crawls out of the closing elevator. The curse is true. He must get into his car before his sight totally leaves him. He must warn his family. " I must save Athena!"Lengkap

She begged for forgiveness, haunted by the weight of what she had done. Days turned into months, months into years, yet her heart remained chained to a hope that refused to die. Every knock at the door, every passing shadow stirred a flicker of belief-maybe today, he'll come back. But he never did. Now she lives with the ghost of her choices, trapped in an endless cycle of regret and longing. His absence echoes louder than any goodbye, and though the world moved on, she stood still-forever waiting for the love she lost, and the forgiveness that never came.
