When Mom gave Emma the opportunity to be a mom, she accepted, but on one condition. Ray would be spared from being shipped. 

Now years later, Emma's the mom of Plant 4. She honestly doesn't know if mom kept her word and let Ray live, she just had to believe she did. 

meanwhile, Ray was at Lambda with Norman. Planning a different escape plan. They were adults now and the experiments done on them left lasting mental and physical effects, but that didn't stop them. They would get out of this awful demon world, and they would find a way to bring Emma and her kids too.
