Seven years I slept in the ruins of the old world. I awoke to a reality I didn't recognize, one where the apocalypse had come and gone, and humanity's last hope was a fortress city called "The Bulwark." But I'm not human anymore. I'm the wolf he left behind. His name is Qin Zheng, the formidable leader of The Bulwark, a man they call the "Butcher." They say he's ruthless, a savior forged in the fires of the new world. But I remember a different man-the one who fed me roasted meat from his palm, who gently groomed my fur, who tended to my wounds with a clumsy tenderness. He experimented on me, transforming me into something more than a wolf, something more than human. Then he disappeared, leaving me to wake up in a new, terrifying form. Now, I'm driven by a primal need to find him, to understand the monster he made me into, and to taste the烤肉 (kǎo ròu - roasted meat) he once promised. They say a new predator reigns in the wasteland, a ghost that wiped out the most vicious beasts of the "Meat Grinder" zone. That predator is me. And I'm coming for my master. He thinks he lost his pet. He's about to find his monster.

I wasn't rejected. I erased myself. In the Highmoon Dominion, an Alpha is forbidden from bonding a human. Kael Thornhart broke that law for me... ...and then broke me for the sake of a pure-blood heir. He gave another woman my place. He handed her my mother's bracelet. He let them drag me across cold stone and call me unworthy. And when their child cried, he looked me in the eyes and asked how I could hurt "his pup." So I made my choice. I walked away-not as the rejected mate... but as the erased one. No scent trail. No grieving howl. No bond left to chase me. The pack believes I'm dead. Kael pretends I never mattered. And somewhere far beyond their borders, in a forgotten outpost meant to be my exile... a lone, exiled soldier watches me like a silent wolf in the dark and vows just one thing: "I won't fail you like he did."
