This story gives a spin-off on how the guards may have been recruited for the Squid Game. Gong Yoo is the salesman who, by chance, recruits a homeless Kang Bae Hoon to join the squid games.

For me, the park was home, and hunger was a constant companion. Showers were a dream, and dignity, a forgotten word. So, when a man in a suit appears, offering a choice between a warm loaf of bread and a lottery ticket, my stomach decides for me. But as others gamble on a distant hope, I discover that some choices are more profound than they appear. Who is this man, and what game is he truly playing with the lives of the desperate?
