The World is divided-kingdoms erected, races spread across ancient continents, the whispers of the damned echoing on the White Plains. When the captial of Volmar is burned and ravaged, Commander Foldor once noble now hollowed by personal grief and patriotism seeks justice. But vengence is no easy task.
As he hunts the unknown enemy responsible for the ruin of his home and the murder of his family, Faldor finds himself drawn into a conspiracy that threads through the ruins of lost empires and the hearts of the living dead. Along the way he meets and recruits others who also are on a path to seek justice.
