You're a cop in New York, a good one at that. You've worked hard to rise through the ranks over the years and whenever a man comes along thinking that he can save the day for a lady like yourself... Well, let's just say that it really grinds your gears. 

So one day while you're on an undercover assignment that you've been working hard to build for months now and your neighbour of all people - who just so happens to be the infamous Sergeant James Buchanan Barnes - comes along and crashes it, you're more than a little annoyed. 

Between how weird he seems to be in general living right next door to you and this, you think you might actually hate the man... despite how good looking he is.
