introducing LABYRINTH by indigowritess Tigers heart has never been quite whole. She's always had someone to fill the other half. Her strength rushes through her veins because of the ones who will it so. To be gentle in a harsh world is a gift and a curse all at once. Tiger has been small. Shes been fragile and broken and hunted and ripped apart and decreed back together again. But above all, Tiger has been so, so alone. Every victor understands that theres a piece of you that is lost to the Games once you leave that arena. Maybe it's trust or forgiveness. Maybe it's the belief that people can be more than the predator they become when they fight for survival. Maybe thats just who we all are, deep down. That grit is what we're made of whether we acknowledge it or not. Nevertheless, Tiger, too, has lost pieces of herself to the Games. Shes been robbed of her innocence, her security, her assurance. But most of all, shes been robbed of something that she can't regain. A hole in her chest that can't be fixed with glue or nurtured by love and care. What happens to a gentle soul when the one thing holding together her fragmented heart has been ripped from this life and into the next? Tiger has been ruined. She has been taken and abused and threatened and ridiculed and adored all at once. But above all, Tiger has been so, so angry.
