The year was 2012.
An infectious disease dubbed by the media as "Jovian Fever" spreads across the United States with alarming speed. The virus, transmitted through contaminated water and bodily fluids, hijacks the brains of it's hosts, sending them into a constant state of manic euphoria and giving them a compulsive desire to attack others before the oversaturation of neurotransmitters leads to suicidal depression within four weeks. As more of the public falls victim, survivors struggle to evade the sick and find refuge until the military can somehow resolve the growing health crisis.

It'll only be within the time spent with the new group will she find out that everything's not as happy and welcoming as it had seemed. These people had a few secrets of their own, including the real reason they took Megan in. No could figure out at first how and where it came from or how even spread so quickly. I was on leave, visiting brother in Boston when the infection hit. ~Thank you for the continued love for this series! I was 13 when I began this book, and am now taking the time to go back to completely rewrite it, and maybe just publish someday~ I'm 15 and my name is Astrix. Let's start with that.
