It's always hard to remember where you put certain things- your wallet, you car keys, and even your sunglasses- but no one ever talks about how much effort is needed to truly forget something. In some cases it's not hard at all, but when what you want to forget is eating you up from the inside out, it becomes a burden; one you don't want to share.
Rukia wants to forget about her mission; she wants to forget about the reason she was missing from their lives for too long, but it won't let her.
He won't let her.
Now, back in the world she has come to adore, she finds she doesn't have long to forget what she knows, and remember what she has forgotten.

"Kurosaki's voice hurt. His concern for Grimmjow's well being hurt. His touch hurt. Looking at his eyes hurt. And the agonizing pain was the catalyst for him to have the single most terrifying realization he ever had in his entire afterlife. He loved Kurosaki Ichigo. And it hurt. And to top it all off he was dying because of it. Fantastic. Just for good measure, Grimmjow punched Kurosaki's sternum when he tried asking another question." In which Grimmjow has Hanahaki's disease and tries to cope. A story told from Grimmjow's perspective on love and loving as a hollow.
