Batman & Robin attempt to stop Black Mask from releasing a dangerous weapon into Gotham, as Black Mask takes off running he is then pursued by Batman & Robin. However, mid-pursuit, Robin is intercepted by a ninja from the League of Assassin who calls for him to return as the heir for Ra's Al Ghul.
As they return to the Batcave, Damian informs Batman of his decision for his desire to return to the League of Assassins. Damian is condemned of his decision and they erupt into an argument which sets Damian running to his room, packing up his bags and running into the night.
When trying to find the next clue, Damian is approached by a shadowy figure, instinctively Damian tries to fight the figure but is then knocked out by Red Hood.
