I watched as my last chance of escape was knocked from my hand and slid under my bed. My last bit of hope to break from this candy coated nightmare, slipped from reach. My right arm was then violently twisted and pushed behind my back. I yelped in pain. His sweaty palm covered my mouth, muffling my cries. New tears sprung in my eyes. My vision became blurry. That familiar feeling of dread crept up my spine. It warned me, but did I listen? He knelt behind me, pushing my arm further behind. "I'm not losing you... again," he whispered in my ear. His deep voice, laced with venom, lust, and desperation. The hairs on the back of my neck rose up. That's it. That's the end. No new beginning. No end. No hope. No life. Just emptiness. Just that vague emptiness. I'm sinking. And you can't save me. A story inspired by @shelbytreeTerminé
