WW II happened in the 21st century and Bucky never "died" just like Steve didn't get frozen. What happens when Steve realizes Peggy might not be the one he wants? The world is in chaos and in the middle of all of this is Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America, trying to figure out who his heart belongs to. Is it the beautiful and powerful Peggy Carter or his best friend since childhood, who suddenly isn't bigger and stronger anymore, Bucky Barnes? ××××× All characters belong to Marvel. I own nothing but the story line. In case there should be an AU story with a similar story line somewhere out there all parallels are coincidences as I never read a story with this plot.
