 America Schreve's life seemed like a story out of a fairy tale. She married a prince and was living out her happily ever after.  On the third birthday of her twin girls on of her daughters was captured and taken. Almost 15 years later she finally has found her lost daughter and is able to feel completely happy again. A week later, Maxon realizes he made the worst mistake in his life. He tries to pursue America, but it only puts her through more emotional pain.
