The Darkness Inside is about what would happen if Callum finished the dark magic spell in the season 7 finale. This story is a fanfic so none of the character's are mine but I did write the entire story myself.

If you haven't watched season 5 of the Dragon Prince, I would reccomend not reading this since it takes place in season 5. The plot is basically Callum odes the dark magic spell Finngren requires to save his friends, but there is a price. He loses his memories and gets found by Aaravos. Aaravos then turns him into his apprentice to rule the world with him.Complete

This story starts part of the way through the last episode of The Dragon Prince season . Ezran and Corvus have split off to return to Katolis while Callum and Rayla continue into Xadia. Ezran feels like his brother is in trouble but must return to become king , Corvus takes him to go see an old friend of his who might be able to help. Meanwhile, Callum becomes a target for some bloodthirsty elves and Rayla must choose between her people and the dorky prince she has come to love. Everyone had just made it safe out of rex's lair, Rayla got her Runaaan and parents back and Callum had just told her he was glad she was back. The gang now has to find a new way to find where Aaravos is imprisoned while doing this Rayla and Callum decided to give their Relationship another try. Ezran initially disagrees with his brother's reckless choice, but decides to help by calling someone familiar to the mission with Terry. While Callum, Rayla, Soren and Corvos go ahead in search of the moon's primary rock that Aaravos had created 3 years ago. This is a spoiler-free summary of Book 1.
