All Octavian wanted was to clock in, clock out, and maybe flirt with Isla without turning into a nervous wreck. Instead, he's breaking into houses (sorta), running a café with his best friend Jinder, hiring a time-traveling weirdo, and getting threatened by a pair of shady businessmen trying to shut everything down.
Now a strange portal has opened, and something, or someone, not of this world is watching. And talking. And possibly planning something terrible.
There's betrayal. There's chaos. There's a guy in a cage.
But there's also friendship, found family, heartbreak, and a whole lot of breakfast food.
It started with a café.
Now it's a war for their reality.

I've made it out of that nightmare I used to call home. The last person my parents had entrusted with my safety was a lie. The man I was being married off too turned out to be a ruthless monster.
