Madelynn DeVeau was labelled the most amazing 17 year old girl in the minds of anyone who got close. I guess you could say she was that girl, one who "has everything".. or had. She was simple. She lived for the love of music and her faith. When the only person she has ever truly loved becomes fickle, she knew that her dangerous prayer was starting to be answered. As testing turned her life a 180 degree spin, she struggles to keep faith, hope, love. Can she manage to protect the ones she loves from her biggest secret? Or will she become selfish?

The creaking of the back and forth of an old swing set urged a word of speech with every squeaky sound. She slowly grabs her right hand into her left, trying to ease the trembling caused by the deafening silence of an empty playground on a beautifully, disastrous July night. Never would she have seen this coming. Never could she have ever foreseen a freezing darkness on a 28 degree summer month. The courage building from the desperate depravity of their relationship pushed her words. She had nothing left to lose.
