Riley Fray grew up in the Shadow World-trained in secret by her mother, battling demons alongside Alec, Isabelle, and Jace. Meanwhile, her younger sister Clary lived a normal, mundane life, unaware of everything lurking beneath the surface.
Jocelyn made Riley promise: Clary must never know. So Riley lived a double life-training, missions, and secrets-all while sharing a home with Clary, Dot, and their mom.
But on Clary's 18th birthday, the truth begins to surface. Clary starts drawing strange symbols and seeing things no one else can. Riley knows what it means-Clary's awakening has begun.
