When Wren Wynns is forced to flee with her family to a crumbling house at the edge of an uncharted forest, she expects small-town weirdness-not a haunting sense of déjà vu, and definitely not the glowing vines creeping across her skin.

But something stirs in the trees. Something hungry. Something that remembers her blood.

He was once a guardian of this land. Now, he is only a shadow with antlers, a whisper of bone and bark. The last remnant of a forgotten curse. And when he sees Wren, he does not understand why he hesitates to destroy her. Only that he must know her... even if it unravels what little humanity he has left.
