In a world divided by spirit clans that channel emotions as living energy, Raijin Tsukigami is a young orphan living on the fringes of society. He doesn't know his past, his family, or the origin of the dark, unstable power that manifests whenever he loses control. His body releases lightning wrapped in a black aura with red flashes, and when this happens... no one can get close to him.
Everything changes the day he finds a symbol carved into an ancient rock. Upon touching it, he collapses and enters a vision: a colossal wolf shrouded in darkness silently watches him. From that moment on, the truth begins to awaken.
Raijin discovers he is the last descendant of the Tsukigami Clan, a nearly extinct lineage that was once capable of channeling emotions and animal spirits in pure form. His existence is tied to an ancient balance... and a darkness greater than he can imagine.
Accompanied by Ketaro (his first friend), Celari (Ketaro's sensitive and empathetic sister, capable of resisting his lightning bolts), and closely followed by his rival Shiden, Raijin will begin a journey through five spiritual regions, facing enemies, forming bonds and rediscovering his identity.
Meanwhile, from the shadows, the Shikkoku organization (漆黒) moves in secret. Made up of 20 elite warriors corrupted by their past, their sole objective is to eliminate the spiritual clans and awaken an ancient entity sealed in the forbidden region of Kuroden.
Raijin must decide if he will let his pain consume him... or if he will turn his shadow into his greatest strength.
