📖 Chapter 1: "The Moment It All Began"

The school was like any other rainy Thursday - loud, chaotic, filled with teenagers trying to survive the day. Freya Skye pulled her hoodie tighter as she walked down the hallway. Today wasn't her day. Math had been a nightmare, and on top of that, she missed her bus.

As she rounded the corner, she almost collided with someone. "Sorry!" she muttered, looking up.

The boy in front of her was different from anyone she'd ever known. Dark hair, steel-blue eyes, a look that was both hurt and closed off. Malachi Barton. His name echoed in her mind.

"It's okay," he said softly, his voice low and rough. For a moment, their eyes met, and something flickered inside her - something unfamiliar.

And just like that, everything began.
