Welcome to the Sanctuary, a place of spiritual rebirth nestled in the barren desert. At least, that's what the recruitment videos promise. The truth is a lie wrapped in hope. The compound is a prison, sealed by fencing curved inward-not to keep intruders out, but to keep souls in. It is ruled by a man known only as The Messiah. Charismatic, beautiful, and utterly psychotic, he commands absolute obedience through a twisted faith of fear, "Juju," and bizarre sexual rituals. He is a god with a temper and a severe cocaine addiction , and his followers are the broken masses who worship the ground he walks on. In this hell, Mercy is the exception. Wearing the red robe that marks him as "favored," Mercy is the Messiah's most prized possession-his gatekeeper, his advisor, and his sexual plaything. But where others are broken, Mercy is a weapon. He has never truly surrendered his will and is playing a dangerous game for survival. He is surrounded by a hierarchy of rivals: Prince Terrence: The ruthless second-in-command in black, a "personal bitch" to the Messiah who is consumed by jealousy. Elder Mother Supreme: The 83-year-old head cook in green, a sadistic and powerful advisor who handles the compound's "dirty work" and buries its secrets. Headmaster Oakley: The obsessive educator in yellow, responsible for indoctrinating new minds into the cult's twisted ways. All of them want Mercy . But their desire is a vulnerability he can exploit. When a brutal power struggle with Elder Mother Supreme escalates from a slap to a poisoned pie, Mercy must use his enemies' obsessions against them to survive. In a world where escape means public execution and unauthorized sex is punished with acid, the only way to win is to be more calculating and more brutal than the monsters who rule. In the Sanctuary, mercy is just a name.

"You're so fucking insufferable Nathanael" He lets out a deep chuckle that sends tingles down my back. "That's hilarious coming from you." "What is your fucking problem with me?" I ask slightly pissed off but mostly confused. "What's my problem with you? You're a hotheaded, loudmouth, annoying prick." He steps closer to me with every word. "Yeah, well you're just a condescending, egotistical, full of yourself, little bitch." He walks so close he's between my legs as I'm still seated on the counter, and the distance between us is all I can think about. "I hate you so much Evens." He breathes out, the warmness of his breath fanning over my lips. "The feeling's mutual, Rivers." Our eyes never break contact, and a suffocating silence takes over the little distance between us. His eyes flick down to my lips and then back up to my eyes. Before I can speak his hands grab my waist and pull me closer to him. A soft gasp leaves my lips but it's silenced when his mouth crashes onto mine and without a second thought I kiss him back. ~~~~~ Caiden Evens isn't normal, he's been in the foster care system since he was three, he has no idea of how he ended up there but after more than 20 different placements over his life he's stopped hoping that his real family might be out there. That is until his current foster father moves him across the country and into a school where he meets two strangers who look abnormally like him. What happens when he meets his father after 14 years who he always believed gave him up. Add to that three extra brothers and their arrogant bestfriend who won't seem to leave Caiden alone. All while trying to hide the constant abuse he's put through at home, will he ever find a true family? ~ I know the blurbs pretty shitty but this is my first book so I promise it will get better [DISCONTINUED]

Easton King has had a hard life. His parents abandoned him as a toddler and he's been from home to home for as long as he can remember. Nobody seems to want him, they just keep him for a little and eventually they all throw him away to be somebody else's problem. Because of this, he has never been close to anyone. He's learned from a young age that he can't trust anybody to stick with him. Don't get me wrong, he still has friends. In fact, Easton is one of the most popular boys in school. No one knows about his home life because he never talks about it and never hangs out with people outside of school. Derek Danvers (his friends jokingly call him DeeDee) has had a better life. He lives with his family and they are loving and decently forgiving like most parents are. He has suffered from depression and anxiety but not nearly as severely as Easton. He lives his life one day at a time and he doesn't depend on his friends but he trusts that they'll stay by his side, and if they don't then it's for the best. They didn't deserve him. Everyone in the school knows Easton puts up walls. No one gets within two or three feet of him, no one asks about his home life, and no one asks if they can go to his house or if he can go to theirs. He has rules everyone knows. What happens when someone finally tries to push the rules? To build up the trust one once lost? Read to find out **Edited
