After a battle, Muichiro leaves severely injured, Tanjiro is assigned to stay at the Butterfly Mansion to help him recover. What starts as duty turns into something deeper as Tanjiro chips away at Muichiro's cold exterior and helps him reconnect with the warmth he lost long ago.
Muichiro doesn't understand these new feelings at first, but in Tanjiro's smile, he starts to feel something like peace... and maybe, love.

Tanjiro agrees to go on the Journey, but struggles to leave his sister behind, due to the Masters orders. Tanjiro learns more about the Flame Hashira on the Journey, and his feelings of admiration grow into something more.... meanwhile Rengoku focuses more on their mission, But soon, Tanjiro's survival becomes more important to Rengoku than the Mission, and soon, something goes on between them, something that changes their relationship forever.
