After a battle, Muichiro leaves severely injured, Tanjiro is assigned to stay at the Butterfly Mansion to help him recover. What starts as duty turns into something deeper as Tanjiro chips away at Muichiro's cold exterior and helps him reconnect with the warmth he lost long ago.
Muichiro doesn't understand these new feelings at first, but in Tanjiro's smile, he starts to feel something like peace... and maybe, love.
