Sir Thomas, an honourable knight of the kingdom, was torn between his mind and his heart. His heart longed for her, the princess, the king's only daughter and future queen. Yet it was his duty, as a highly respected knight, to guard and protect her.

What he hadn't expected was for Princess Violet to be so sweet and kind-hearted. And so, whenever he was near her, he struggled with his feelings.

He often found himself by her side, even at night, when the two of them would talk for hours. Around her, he felt at ease, so much so that he would remove his knight's helmet, something he rarely did. In those quiet moments, lingering gazes and soft smiles were exchanged between them.

Before realising it, she had grown an attachment to Sir Thomas. Never wanting to leave his side or spend an evening in the courtyard without him. Whatever will she do when that fateful morning comes, the beconing sorrow of his consequence. And what will she do when Sir Thomas must tell her the truth?
